No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. KAYAK will host What the Hack @ KAYAK (the "Event") at KAYAK Technology Headquarters, 10 Canal Park, Cambridge, Massachusetts from April 25-26, 2015.

1. Eligibility

To participate in the What the Hack @ KAYAK Contest (the "Contest"), you must be at least 18 years of age. Employees of Sponsors and their families are not eligible to participate.

2. How it Works

To give you some direction, we've created four broad development challenge categories: Data, Design, Movement and Innovation (each a "Challenge"). Each team composed of 1-5 people to develop software to respond to at least one of these four Challenges. The Challenges will be published at the Event.

3. Winner Selection and Judging Criteria

The projects submitted for each of the four Challenges will be judged by a panel of judges based on the following criteria: design and engineering merits (50%) and overall creativity (50%). The teams that receive the highest scores for each challenge based on the Judging Criteria will be declared the Grand Prize winners. The Teams that receive the second highest scores for each challenge based on the Judging Criteria will be declared the Runner-Up Prize winners. Decisions of the judges are final.

4. Prizes

Grand Prize (one per Challenge): $1,500

Runner-Up Prize (one per Challenge): $500

Prizes will be distributed equally to each Participant on the winning team. Winners are responsible for any local, state or federal taxes. Additional prizes may be awarded at the Sponsors' sole discretion.

5. Release

By participating in this Contest, the participant hereby assumes all risk involved in participating in the Event and agrees to release and hold KAYAK, Amadeus harmless from any and all liability of any kind, including but not limited to loss or damage to personal property, personal injury, illness or death arising in any way from participation in the Event, including but not limited to transportation to and from the Event location.
